Firefly: The Game
For this project I was in charge of creating the online campaign for Gamefound, as well as updating the previous content for new production. This involved designing a clear and detailed project page containing information about the game components, reward tiers, stretch goals and more. It was vital that this page was easily readable across various devices, enticed potential backers to keep scrolling and ultimately result in backing.
Due to the age of this game there were several challenges, such as updating 10 year old files, prepping files for different languages and creating the new Still Flyin' expansion, that not only fit the beloved aesthetic of the original releases but still felt new and exciting. I also created every new luxury component, stretch goal and concepted the anniversary edition game box, whilst overseeing the translated versions as well.

Still Flyin' Expansion
This expansion adds a new ship, board, deck and cards to previously existing decks. The new deck is based on the character Saffron, a temptress whose job cards reflect the line of work she is in, thus a bright red design and lips icon to set her job deck apart from the others. The new ship is a new design and easter egg from the show, so the board fits the style seen. As this ship is always seen in movement and always in the background, I illustrated the blueprints of the ship myself for use as the profile image.
Stretch Goals
For the Gamefound campaign, a series of stretch goals were introduced to incentivise backers into pledging higher tiers and sharing. These goals unlocked many new cards for older decks and introduced solo mode with lots of different missions. Here are selection of some of the cards I designed.
I designed the entirety of the project page and set the style guide for marketing to use when providing updates and advertising. This offering was massive with over 1000 cards, several ships, many dice, vinyl matt and loads of components. The page needed to showcase all of this and more. For the first time ever players were able to have everything ever created for Firefly, including one off promo cards that were never published again and deluxe components. That information, how to play, break down of costs, pledge offerings, delivery timeline, stretch goal map and more were vital in ensuring old and new players had all the information they needed to make a decision. These sections were separated using assets from the game and stills from the show to create a digital portrayal of the physical game.
This campaign was fully funded within 17 minutes and made nearly $3.5 million.
